Youth Basketball League (YBL)

The Tom Buttafarro Youth Basketball Program emphasizes the child first and the sport second. We’re proud to offer a fun, inclusive experience that focuses on:

Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to sharpen their skills, the YBL welcomes players of all levels — from beginner to advanced.

For Boys and Girls in 1st–8th Grade

Players from school districts surrounding Jamestown can register with their school district team (if one is available) or join a YMCA team.

Note: 7th or 8th graders who play varsity basketball are not eligible to register.

Important Dates

• Registration Opens: September 2, 2025

• Coaches Meeting: November 15, 2025

• Registration Deadline: November 21, 2025 (It has been extended to November 26, 2025)

• Skill Evaluation: November 22, 2025

• Season Begins: Saturday, January 3, 2026

• Team Practices Start: Week of December 1, 2025

League Cost

• YMCA Members: $50

• Potential Members: $100
