2026 YMCA Summer Day Camp

Great Summers Start at the Y!

The Jamestown Area YMCA is excited to offer another fun and engaging Summer Day Camp program for children ages 5–11. Our camp provides a safe, supportive environment where kids can explore new activities, build friendships, and create lasting memories.

Each week features a unique theme, exciting activities, swimming, and a field trip designed to keep campers active, learning, and having fun all summer long. YMCA day camp focuses on developing the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while giving kids a place to grow, play, and belong.

Camp Locations

Families can choose from two convenient locations:

  • Camp Chautau – Jamestown Area YMCA

  • Camp Adventure – Lakewood Family YMCA

Camp Hours

  • 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Breakfast and lunch are included through our Summer Feeding Program.

Weekly Camp Cost

  • YMCA Members: $260 per week

  • Potential Members: $290 per week

  • Sibling Discount: 20% off each additional child

Registration

Registration is simple and can be completed online. Families can scan the QR code on the camp flyer or register through the YMCA online registration system.

If you prefer assistance with registration, appointments can be made by phone or in person with YMCA childcare staff.

Deposit

A $10 deposit per child, per week is required to secure your child’s spot. The deposit will be applied toward your weekly balance.

Families receiving DSS childcare subsidies who register online will have their deposit refunded if it exceeds their required copay.

YMCA Weekly Themes

 Summer Themes: CHAUTAU

*Week 1: Winter Wonderland: (June29th-July3rd) Trade your snow boots for flip-flops at our special Christmas in July camp. We’re bringing the magic of the holidays to the summer sun for a week of festive fun and unforgettable adventures. Get ready for a unique experience where summer games meet holiday traditions, all under the warm July sky. (Erie Zoo) July 23

*Week 2 Space Expedition: (July 6th-July 10th) Kids can blast off into outer space with this theme, learning about the solar system, creating space-themed art projects, and participating in space- themed games and activities.          ( Experience Children's Museum) Erie, Pa July 10

*Week 3 Camping: (July 13th-July 17th) A sense of adventure, outdoor appreciation, and provides opportunities for kids to connect with nature. Take the adventure outside by organizing natural walks to observe trees and flowers. (Allegany State Park) July 17

* Week 4 Carnival: (July 20th- July 24th) An unforgettable day full of color, fun, and excitement, You’re in the right place. Playful decorations to mouthwatering treats and even elegant carnival ideas for kids. You need to bring the magic of the fairground to your summer camp. (Dunkirk Fair) July 24

* Week 5 Sports: (July27th – July31st) Encourages teamwork and friendly competition and works on gross motor development and social skills. Play games like relay races and obstacle courses, create Olympic-inspired crafts such as gold medals or torches, and introduce students to different sports from around.                                       (Bowling and Ice Arena)  July 31

* week 6 Color blast: (Aug 3rd- Aug 7th) Is an energetic and vibrant celebration centered around brilliant, explosive color and the excitement of summer. It draws inspiration and focuses on fun, mess and creativity. (Explore and more children’s museum Buffalo) Aug.7

* Week7 Under the sea: (Aug 10th- Aug14th) Dive into an unforgettable experience with vibrant colors, enchanting creatures, and an atmosphere brimming with magic. This unique theme offers a world of possibilities for both children and adults alike. Get ready to embark on an oceanic adventure and discover why under the sea is an absolute blast! (Splash Lagoon) Aug.14

* Week 8 Summerween: (Aug 17th- Aug 21st) If you’re looking forward to the fall more than dreading the end of the summer, a summerween week is the perfect way to celebrate. This trendy holiday combines the spookiness of the fall with the beautiful weather of the summer that makes a fun camp theme. (Chuck E Cheese Erie) Aug.21
