WATER EXERCISE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Unless otherwise specified below, the following classes are FREE to YMCA members; Potential members pay $12 per class or can purchase an aerobics package. The aerobics package gains potential members’ entrance to any classes scheduled for the specified period of time beginning the day of purchase. 1 week package: $18, 8 week package: $91.20.

 

Monday 8:15-9 am with Sandy – Shallow end aerobics, cool down with upper body, deep end exercises, and stretches for the last 10 minutes.

Monday 10:40-11:25 am with Monica - Hi/low aerobic workout with extra upper body using weights, cool down & stretch.

Tuesday 8:15-9 am with Roseann - Deep end workout for half the class and Poolates for the other half.

What is Poolates? Poolates is a twist on traditional Pilates. Participants use a gentle resistance of warm pool water to strengthen and stabilize key muscles in the legs, abdomen and back.

Tuesday 10:15-11:15 am with Monica – Water dance: 40 minutes of dance, 10 minutes of lower body calisthenics, cool down & stretch. 

Wednesday 8:15-9 am with Roseann – Various water exercises with cardio focus for the first part of the class and then deep end workout for the last 15 minutes.

Wednesday 10:40-11:25 am with Monica - Full deep end cardio and weights workout, cool down & stretch.

Thursday 8:15-9 am with Roseann - Various water exercises with cardio focus for the first part of the class and then deep end workout for the last 15 minutes.

Thursday 10:40-11:25  am with Sandy - Shallow end aerobics, cool down with upper body, deep end exercises, and stretches for the last 10 minutes.

Friday 8:15-9 am with Roseann – Poolates only.
