FITNESS CLASSES AT THE Y:

 

Unless otherwise specified below, the following classes are FREE to YMCA members; Potential members pay $12 per class or can purchase an aerobics package. The aerobics package gains potential members’ entrance to any classes scheduled for the specified period of time beginning the day of purchase.   1 week package: $18, 8 week package: $91.20.

 

Active Living Classes– Add on activity to your life, have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.

Members: FREE, Potential members: $5/class.

Ballroom Dance - Besides being fun, ballroom dance aids in weight loss, lightens your mood and enhances coordination. Loose comfortable clothing and smooth soled shoes are recommended. Partners are not mandatory.

10 week session: Members: $35 per partner, Potential Members: $90 per partner.

Balance & Flex Together – You will grow longer and stronger with this invigorating 60 minute mind body workout that incorporates yoga and Pilates fundamentals with athletic training for balance, mobility, flexibility, and the core.

Cross Train Kick Start – Circuits of body conditioning and resistance training using high-intensity aerobics while targeting strength building and muscular endurance. This class allows each individual to work at their respective fitness levels, challenging a variety of heart rate zones and muscle groups for a full cardio & strength workout.

*Cycle Classes – Instructor lead indoor cycling classes.

Cycle Together – A 60 minute cycling experience through interval training. Improve cardiovascular fitness, burn fat, shape and strengthen your lower body, and burn calories while you control the intensity of your workout.

Cycle 30 Together – A 30 minute cycling cardio workout that will burn calories, improve muscular endurance, and build cardio fitness. No matter if you are just starting out or have been riding for years, this workout is for you.

Dance Fusion - This dynamic group exercise class brings you an experience of dance, cardio, and strength fused together to get your heart rate up and sweat dripping.

Enhance®Fitness - An evidence-based senior fitness and arthritis management program consisting of exercises focusing on cardiovascular, endurance, strength, flexibility, & balance which can help reduce the severity of arthritis symptoms. Can be done seated or standing. Members: Free, Potential Members: $135.00 for 16 week session.

Fit For Life – A community-oriented medically supervised, wellness program. Everyone is welcome: first time exercisers, arthritis sufferers, heart disease, diabetes, surgery rehabilitation, socialization. Program includes: blood pressure, heart rate, O2 check, warm-up, stretching, cardiovascular workout, Matrix, and other machine set up. Members: Free, Potential Members: $6 per class.        

Group Step - Stepping up, over and around an adjustable step to the beat of high-energy music will give you the total-body workout you’ve been looking for. Burn fat, build muscle, and improve your overall fitness.

HIIT – This class is a high energy cardiovascular infused group workout with a mix of strength training. Join in on the fun and energizing calorie burning workout! No experience necessary.

Hoop Fitness Plus – An empowering and inclusive class that uses the hula hoop. The class will incorporate various styles such as fitness, dance, and flow. You will get to experience numerous benefits including fitness, relaxation, laughter, self-development, and confidence.

Kickboxing - Kickboxing is based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate mixed with boxing.

Moving for Better Balance – An evidence-based Falls Prevention Program that incorporates “Swing and Sway” based Tai Chi movements for better performance of daily functional activities. ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED/CONSECUTIVE COURSE. Members FREE/Potential members $115.20 for 12-week session.

Pilates - Gain flexibility and build strength with this 60 minute bodyweight workout.

Pound® – A full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometrics, and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighted exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix® you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer.

Silver Sneakers - Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

Stability Ball - The ball can help improve your posture, balance, and core strength.

Strength Train Together – Will blast your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates and body weight, this workout combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls. Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up and push you to a personal best.

ZUMBA® - classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.
