FITNESS CLASSES AT THE Y:

Kettle BellsThis workout is meant to build strength endurance using high intensity training methods that are designed to leave you with noticeable results.

 

Pound: Is a full body cardio jam session in a black light lit room, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometrics, and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighted exercise drum sticks, called Ripstix you’ll turn into a calorie torching drummer.

 

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Balance:  This program represents a significant enhancement of traditional Tai Chi by transforming the movements into therapeutic training for balance and integrating the movements into daily functioning for older adults.

 

Ballroom Dance: at the Lakewood YMCA

 

Power Pump: A 60 minute total body work out designed to get you lean and toned fast. 

 

Kick & Pump : 1/2 hour of cardio kickboxing followed by a 1/2 hour of muscle conditioning using dumbbells and bars.

 

Zumba Gold®:  Provide modified, low-impact moves for active older adults. Members FREE | Potential Members $4/class.

 

(HI) Circuit: A High intensity class that includes both endurance and strength stations.

 

AOA DANCE GOLD:  If you’ve enjoyed Zumba Gold, you’ll love AOA Dance Gold. The easy-to-follow program that lets you move to the beat at your own speed. It’s an invigorating, community-orientated fitness class.
