Tiny Tumblers

Ages:  3 – 5 years
Your toddler will experience a fun and playful atmosphere as they explore and experiment with the world of movement. An excellent chance for positive interaction with children of the same age.  All gymnastics equipment is utilized at the Lakewood YMCA.
Days:  Mondays from 10:30-11:15am
Member: $40

Gymnastics

Ages: 3 years and up

The Lakewood YMCA offers a complete gymnastics program from tots to competitive team. The Lakewood YMCA houses a 10,000 square foot gymnastic center that includes uneven bars, balance beams, spring floor, in-ground trampoline, 40 foot tumbling track and a 600 sq. ft. loose foam training pit. Our gymnastics program builds and reinforces children’s skills in the area of physical coordination, agility, strength, balance, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and confidence in themselves. Our classes teach skill progressions that vary based on age and ability.

Session I:  September 10 – November 3, 2012
Session II:  November 5 – December 29, 2012

Tots Tumbling – Ages 3-5
Your toddler will experience a fun and playful atmosphere as they explore and experiment with the world of movement. This class is designed to improve coordination, develop flexibility, increase strength, and have fun with gymnastics.
Tuesday 5:15pm or Saturdays 9:00am
Member – $50, Potential Member – $65 (8-week session)

Beginners – Ages 5 and up
Children will learn the basic gymnastic skills using vault, bar, beams, trampoline and floor. Class is divided into groups based on ability.
Monday 4:00pm or 5:00pm
Wednesday 4:00pm or 5:00pm
Thursday 4:00pm
Saturday 9:00am or 10:00am
Member – $50, Potential Member – $65 ( 8-week session)

Intermediate
This class is designed for students who have learned beginner skills and need to master them before moving to pre-team. Must be approved by gymnastic director prior to enrollment. Practice is twice a week.
Tuesday/Thursday 4:00pm
Member – $80, Potential Member $95 (8-week session)

Pre-Team
For those who have passed beginner and intermediate skill and are now ready to learn routines necessary to start competing with team. Must be approved by gymnastic director prior to registration. Practice is 3 times a week.
Monday/Wednesday 4:30-6:30pm and Saturday 10:00 – 12 noon
Must be a member of the YMCA – $68 (4-week session)

Team
Team members have mastered skills and are ready to compete. Must be approved by gymnastic director prior to registration. Practice 4 times a week.  Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 4:30-7:30pm and Sat. 10:00am – 1:00pm
Must be a member of the YMCA – $138 (4-week session)

Cheer/Tumbling
Students will learn skills and prober techniques of tumbling necessary for all star cheerleading teams.
Tuesday or Thursday 5:30-6:30pm
Member – $64, Potential Member – $96 (8-week session)

OPEN HOUSE
Come check out our huge Gymnastic Center at the Lakewood YMCA on September 1 from 1:00 – 4:00pm. Come meet our new coaching staff – Haley, Megan, and Katie.

Stay & Play

Ages:  1 Year and Older
Stay & Play at the Lakewood YMCA features developmentally appropriate parent/child activities designed to enhance gross and motor development while fostering parent/child relationships.  Parachutes, beams, trampoline, and more will be used.
Days:  Mondays 9:45 – 10:15 a.m.
Member:  $35.00
Potential Member: $50.00

Birthday Party Packages

Ages: All
Celebrate your special party in the Lakewood YMCA’s 10,000 square foot gymnastic center which includes a bounce house. Our party coordinator will run active games, decorate the party room, and serve cake to your guests.

Moms Morning Out

Ages: 2-5 years
This program is a drop-off playgroup that will give the children the opportunity to socialize with other children. The Lakewood Y will provide your child with a place to grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually through choice time that includes crafts, stories, gross motor play, creative movement, games, and more.
Registration: Ongoing
Season: Ongoing
Days:   Tuesdays and Fridays 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon (can attend one or both days)
Member: $8 per class
Potential Member: $12 per class

Family Nights

Ages: All ages
Come to the Lakewood YMCA between the hours of 6 and 8 pm and enjoy playing with your child in our gymnastic room. A childcare staff will be there with activities available for you and your family. Bounce on the trampoline, jump the river, swing on the rope, play in the bounce house, and enjoy some time together with your family. All children must be accompanied by a adult.
