Independent Health and the Jamestown Area YMCA, along with support from the City of Jamestown and the Village of Lakewood, have teamed up to offer Fitness in the Parks – a FREE weekly community exercise program designed to encourage healthy activity.
If you’ve ever wished you could attend a fitness class outside during the summer so you don’t have to trade good weather for a good workout – now you can!
Anyone can get out and get moving during the summer months with free, outdoor fitness classes led by YMCA-certified instructors at a park near you.
This program runs June 23 – August 26.

Increase your strength and mobility while you improve your self-confidence and make new friends. Moving for Better Balance is a 12-week falls prevention program based on the gentle, flowing movements of Tai Chi. It is designed to help adults 60 years and older improve their balance and maintain their independence longer.

Massage therapy spans a wide variety of therapeutic approaches which work to improve an individual’s health and well-being through manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues of the body. Available only at the Jamestown YMCA.
