School’s Out – Let’s Play! Zumbatomic is a high-energy fitness party that offers real results. Packed with specially choreographed routines and the latest music, like hip-hop, reggaeton and cumbia, Zumbatomic classes increase mental acuity and self-confidence, boost metabolism and improve coordination.

This class is an evidence-based fall prevention program for older adults. The program consists of a core 8-form routine and a subroutine of eight integrated therapeutic movements, which, collectively, involve a set of simple, continuous, rhythmic and functional Tai Chi-based actions.

Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety. SilverSpalsh® offers lots of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination. Bring a water bottle and water shoes. Mondays at 10:45 a.m.

This is a men’s group that meets for fellowship and bible study. Discussion items revolve around men’s issues from a Christian perspective. This is open to all men (YMCA members or not) and is a great way to engage in thought provoking Christian study. The groups meet on the third Thursday every month at 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Jamestown YMCA.

Jamestown YMCA Group Exercise Schedule (Spring 2013)

Our classes at the Jamestown YMCA are designed to allow participants to proceed at their own pace. Besides having fun, ballroom dance aids in weight loss, lightens your mood and enhances coordination. This intermediate-level class will follow the silver syllabus. More advanced patterns and amalgamations will be added as the student’s abilities progress. Loose comfortable clothing and smooth soled shoes are recommended. Partners are not mandatory.
