Cancer Support Group

FREE to all cancer patients, survivors, care givers, and loved ones.

We strive to create an atmosphere where those suffering can find comfort and support through not only conversations and healing moments with other warriors, but also through information provided by guest speakers regarding programs and services available to help you or your loved one successfully progress in spirit, mind, and body.

Held the third Thursday of each month beginning January 15th at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Library) in Jamestown.

Senior Men’s Group Exercise

This exercise group meets in Jamestown every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:00am in the lower gym for self-led exercise and fellowship.


Man In The Mirror/Men of Meditation

On the third Thursday of every month, the recently merge Man in the Mirror and Men of Meditation groups meet to have a time of fellowship and Bible study. Discussion items revolve around men’s issues from a Christian perspective.

The group meets at the Jamestown YMCA for one hour from 12:00-1:00pm and includes lunch. Often we watch a video and have a discussion, but from time to time, a local speaker presents a lesson.

This is open to all men and is a great way to engage in thought-provoking Christian study.


SilverSneakers® Classic

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, balls and elastic tubing with handles are offered for resistance and a chair is used fo rseated and/or standing support. 
Days/Times:  Monday & Wednesdays at 9:25 a.m.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement

Ages: Adults
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, balls, and elastic tubing with handles are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Jamestown YMCA Upper Gym Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

SilverSneakers® Splash

Ages: Adults
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety. SilverSneakers® Splash offers lots of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination. Bring a water bottle and water shoes. Mondays 10:40 a.m.

Massage Therapy Service

Massage therapy spans a wide variety of therapeutic approaches which work to improve an individual’s health and well-being through manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues of the body.  Available only at the Jamestown YMCA.

Group Exercise Classes

Ages: 14 and older

Add a dose of high energy and motivation to your workouts with group exercise classes. Our dynamic classes are a fun and alternative to traditional workouts. Classes include 
Active Older Adult Exercise,  Cardio Kickboxing, Pilates, Power Pump, Silver Sneakers®, Bootcamp, High Intensity Circuit, Water Exercise, Stability Ball, Yoga, Zumba®, Aqua Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, and Cycle Hollyloft.
