Our Commitment
In the YMCAs commitment
to building strong kids, strong families, and
strong communities comes a responsibility to
create a safe and secure environment where children
can grow and develop. As an advocate for
youth development, the YMCA's approach to child
abuse prevention includes a detailed staff
screening and selection process, training and education,
mandated reporting procedures, and documented
policies to prevent abuse. The YMCA
understands the importance of educating staff,
parents, children, members, and the community
about child abuse prevention and we are committed
to providing a safe environment for children and
families.

Quality
childcare is our priority at the YMCA. We strive
to provide a positive atmosphere
for children with
activities that teach values such as honesty, respect,
caring, and
responsibility. Our staff is made up
of well-trained adults and students who enjoy working
with children. Through cooperation with some public
schools, United Way, and other
various organizations, transportation is
available from some school districts.

children ages 5-12 and are open on all regular
days of school (by district) Monday - Friday, from 3:00 - 6:00
pm. At the Jamestown, Eastside,
Southwestern, and Randolph childcare sites, we
offer extended hours for half days and our YMCA
day camp program is available for holidays and
vacation days.
Each
day, children will receive a nutritious snack and
daily activity choices such as arts and crafts,
sports, swimming, computers, Kidzlit, cooking,
community service projects, games, homework help,
