ClubThe
Porpoise Club is an off-season stroke clinic that
prepares swimmers for swim team. This club
combines advanced stroke technique and endurance.
Participants must be able to swim one length of the pool
without stopping on the freestyle and backstroke.
Prepare for summer early! 6 week sessions.

National YMCA Lifeguard Certification
Course
Ages 16 years & older
This course
is designed to give participants the basic skills and
knowledge needed to be YMCA certified lifeguards in pool, lake, river,
surf, and water park environments. American Red
Cross CPR / AED, First
Aid, and O2 (required), and lifeguard book included in
course. Must be able to swim 500 yards (20 pool
lengths) without stopping. MUST attend all classes and pass written
and water tests.

YMCA SCUBA Certification Course

Ages
12 years & older
Experience
the great underwater world by signing up for
SCUBA! Bring swim suit and towel. Students provide their own masks,
fins, and snorkels. The instructor, Lloyd Latona,
Jr. of Underwater World 569-5509, provides all
other equipment. Includes classroom, pool
instruction, and 4 open water dives. Receive a
YMCA Open Water Certification. Try

Pool Lift! ...
The Jamestown YMCA
has a pool lift for the upper pool that
will enable our participants with disabilities to have
safe access to the water! Adaptive Swim Monday 7-8
pm. Participants with disabilities are welcome to
join this fun program in the upper pool.
Recreational swim, instruction, whirlpool, and games are
included. $2.00 per person (aides are
free).
